Dunedin Gourmet Walk

With your personal Zest guide to tell you all about the local stories and snippets of light history, you walk from Dunedin's central Octagon to find small specialist food havens and boutiques. Everywhere you go, you'll enjoy small tastes of local and regional specialities including the humble yet famous cheese roll, virtually unique to Otago and Southland. You'll meet families and owners to taste their products - maybe gourmet ice cream, sophisticated chocolates, craft beer, freshly roasted coffee and locally baked treats.

Saturday culinary tours are special: starting a little later to arrive at the ideal time at the popular Otago Farmers Market. Here you will meet food producers and purveyors from all over the region, tasting samples of fresh fruit, speciality meats, baked items and other delights. Finish with a glass of fine regional wine.
